Frequently Asked Questions
About Sober Table
What is Sober Table
Sober Table is a family-driven online shop dedicated to high-quality, well-priced alcohol-free drinks. We work with carefully selected producers offering non-alcoholic wines, sparkling drinks, spirits, aperitifs and ready-to-drink mocktails — created for natural taste and modern life occasions.
Who is Sober Table for?
Sober Table is for people who choose alcohol-free drinks with intention — sometimes, often, or always.
For those who move naturally between alcohol and alcohol-free, for people who live completely alcohol-free, and for anyone who is simply curious to try a thoughtful alternative. It’s also for hosts, bars and restaurants that want to offer their guests well-made, natural options — drinks that feel right on the table and easy to enjoy.
What makes Sober Table different from other alcohol-free shops?
Sober Table is built around curation, not quantity. We don’t aim to offer everything — only drinks we would genuinely put on our own table. Each product is selected for natural taste, balance and quality, but also for fair value. We don’t sell cheap drinks that compromise on quality, and we avoid products that are overpriced without a clear reason. What matters to us is the relationship between quality, taste and price. As a family-driven shop, we think long term — about trust, everyday occasions and drinks that people actually come back to. That’s why our selection is shaped by care, honesty and relevance, not by trends or excess.
Are you a retailer or a brand?
Sober Table is an independent retailer, not a drink producer. We don’t create our own beverages — instead, we curate a selection from carefully chosen producers we work with directly. We cooperate only with producers themselves, not through intermediaries. This allows us to stay close to the products, ensure consistent quality, fair pricing, and a transparent origin of everything we offer. By working directly with producers, we remain objective and selective, focusing on drinks that truly work in the glass, on the table and in real life — rather than promoting one brand or trend.
Do you sell to both private customers and businesses?
Yes. Sober Table serves individual customers as well as bars, restaurants, hotels and selected concept stores. For private customers, we offer a curated selection of alcohol-free drinks suitable for everyday moments, special occasions and gifting. For business partners, we provide B2B cooperation, including tailored selections and HoReCa-focused conditions designed for real service and menus. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or for your venue, our approach stays the same: thoughtful selection, fair value and drinks that genuinely work.
Where is Sober Table based?
Sober Table is based in Prague, Czech Republic.
Our warehouse is located in near Warsaw, chosen for its central geographic position and strong logistics infrastructure. This setup allows us to serve customers across Central and Baltic Europe efficiently, while staying close to both our producers and our markets.
Alcohol-Free Drinks Explained
What does “alcohol-free” mean?
Alcohol-free drinks are beverages made without alcohol or with alcohol removed during production. At Sober Table, we offer drinks that are legally classified as alcohol-free under EU regulations. Exact alcohol content is always clearly stated on each product page.
Are your drinks completely alcohol-free (0.0%)?
Most products in our shop contain 0.0% alcohol. Some may contain trace amounts (usually up to 0.5%), which is legally considered non-alcoholic in the EU. We always list alcohol content transparently, so you can choose what feels right for you.
What is the difference between alcohol-free and dealcoholized drinks?
Alcohol-free drinks are either produced without fermentation or have alcohol removed to a non-alcoholic level.
Dealcoholized drinks are made through traditional fermentation and then gently processed to remove alcohol, helping preserve aroma and structure. Both approaches can produce excellent results — what matters most is balance, taste and quality, not the method alone.
Who are flexi drinkers?
Flexi drinkers are people who move naturally between alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks, depending on the moment, mood, company or occasion.
They might enjoy a glass of wine one day and choose alcohol-free the next — without rules or labels. This growing group is a big reason why thoughtful alcohol-free options matter today.
Do alcohol-free drinks taste like alcohol?
Not exactly — and that’s a good thing.
The best alcohol-free drinks are not about imitation, but about structure, balance and complexity. They are designed to be enjoyable on their own, without trying to replicate alcohol perfectly.
Are alcohol-free drinks just for people who don’t drink alcohol?
Not at all. Alcohol-free drinks are enjoyed by:
- people who are fully sober
- flexi drinkers
- people who are curious to try something new
- guests who want an option that fits the moment
Alcohol-free is not about restriction — it’s about choice.
Are alcohol-free drinks suitable during pregnancy?
We are not medical professionals, and we don’t provide health recommendations. Our role is to offer clear and transparent information about the products we sell.
All drinks available at Sober Table are legally classified as non-alcoholic, meaning they contain 0.0% alcohol or less than 0.5%, in accordance with EU regulations. The exact alcohol content is always clearly stated on each product page.
For context, similar trace amounts of naturally occurring alcohol can also be found in everyday foods such as ripe fruit, bread, fruit juices or fermented products.
Pregnancy-related decisions are personal. If you have specific concerns, we recommend checking individual product details and consulting a healthcare professional.
Are alcohol-free drinks suitable when driving?
All drinks sold at Sober Table are legally classified as non-alcoholic under EU regulations and contain 0.0% alcohol or less than 0.5%, with exact values always stated on the product page. That said, legal limits and tolerance can vary by country, and personal sensitivity may differ. If you are unsure or prefer to avoid any alcohol entirely when driving, choosing 0.0% products may feel most comfortable.
What does 0.0% ABV actually mean?
ABV stands for Alcohol by Volume — it describes how much alcohol a drink contains as a percentage of its total volume.
0.0% ABV means that a drink contains no measurable alcohol according to current analytical methods. These products are made either without fermentation or using processes that ensure alcohol is completely removed.
At Sober Table, products labelled 0.0% ABV are clearly marked on each product page, so you can easily identify them if avoiding alcohol entirely is important to you.
It’s also worth noting that small traces of alcohol can naturally occur in everyday foods such as ripe fruit, bread, fruit juices or fermented products — even though they are not considered alcoholic. For this reason, some alcohol-free drinks may be labelled as less than 0.5% ABV, which is still legally classified as non-alcoholic under EU regulations. We always state the exact alcohol content transparently, so you can make an informed choice.
Products & Ingredients
What types of alcohol-free drinks do you sell?
At Sober Table, we offer a curated selection of:
- alcohol-free wines (still and sparkling)
- sparkling drinks and aperitifs
- alcohol-free spirits and botanical alternatives
- ready-to-drink mocktails
Our range is continuously evolving. We regularly expand and refine our selection, adding new types of alcohol-free drinks when they fit our philosophy of natural taste, quality and fair value.
Are your products vegan or low in sugar?
Many of our products are vegan-friendly, low in sugar, or made without added sugar, using carefully selected natural ingredients.
Because recipes and production methods vary by producer, exact nutritional values can differ between products.
We always list relevant dietary and nutritional information directly on each product page whenever it’s available, so you can make an informed choice.
If you’re unsure whether a specific product fits your preferences or dietary needs, feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help.
Do your products contain allergens?
Some alcohol-free drinks may contain allergens such as sulphites, gluten or specific botanicals, depending on the recipe and production method.
Allergen information is provided on each product page based on producer data and official labelling. If you have allergies or sensitivities, we always recommend reviewing product details carefully before ordering.
If you’re unsure about a specific ingredient or need more precise information, you’re always welcome to contact us. As we work directly with producers, we can quickly clarify ingredients and provide additional details when needed.
Are alcohol-free drinks suitable for special diets?
Alcohol-free drinks can fit into many lifestyles and dietary choices, including plant-based or low-alcohol diets. However, suitability depends on individual ingredients, sugar content and personal needs.
We encourage you to review product descriptions closely and reach out if you need additional guidance.
How should alcohol-free drinks be stored?
Storage recommendations depend on the type of drink and its production method.
- Unopened bottles are usually best stored in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight.
- Once opened, many alcohol-free drinks — especially wines and sparkling wines — should be refrigerated and consumed within a few days, as they don’t contain alcohol as a preservative.
Some alcohol-free drinks, particularly botanical alternatives and spirits, have a longer shelf life after opening. For example, products like NONA can be stored for several months after opening when kept properly.
Specific storage and serving recommendations are always listed on the product page, so you know exactly how to enjoy each drink at its best.
Why do I see a yellow layer on top of the NONA Ginger bottle?
One of the botanicals used in NONA Ginger is turmeric. As a natural ingredient, turmeric can sometimes settle and create a yellow layer at the top of the bottle.
This is completely natural and normal and does not affect the quality or taste of the drink. Simply shake the bottle gently before use to blend the ingredients again before mixing your alcohol-free cocktail.
Why is NONA June cloudy?
NONA June is made from 100% natural ingredients, distilled from nine different botanicals. Because we never compromise on flavour and use only natural extracts, the liquid may sometimes appear cloudy.
This can happen because botanical extracts need time to fully dissolve, and clarity can vary depending on factors such as production date, temperature and storage conditions. As a result, some bottles may look clearer than others.
This is completely normal and does not affect the taste or quality of NONA June in any way.
Why are some alcohol-free drinks priced similarly to — or even higher than — alcoholic ones?
Alcohol-free drinks are often just as complex to produce as alcoholic beverages — and sometimes even more so.
Many premium alcohol-free wines, spirits and aperitifs require:
- high-quality raw ingredients
- multiple production steps (such as distillation, fermentation and alcohol removal)
- small-batch production
- careful handling to preserve flavour and structure
Unlike alcohol, which naturally preserves and stabilises a product, alcohol-free drinks often require more precision, time and technology to achieve balance and depth without relying on alcohol itself.
